13yo Standardbred 16.1hh, Atz a sweet boy searching for his forever home. He came to the rescue very underweight and has begun to regain and begin working. Atz is very flashy and poised, I'm thinking he would make a great intro to dressage prospective. Atz drives (was an Amish buggy horse), takes a rider, was reported to carry small children too. He is sound, stands, clips and baths. Videos will soon follow. Click here for a video of Atz2/17
Friday is new to the rescue and is settling in well. Friday is a 14yo, QH Paint Gelding that stands at, 14.2hh. Friday has had a few years off as his original owner had sadly passed away, but was his best trail horse. I'm sure Friday will make someone a good trail buddy, with a little work and time. More pictures and details to follow.11/17
This little guy was born at the rescue on 6/19/17, Kookie is doing fantastic, has been weened from his Momma Roxy, and was gelded on 12/19/17. We have had many interested in Kookie, but we would rather a home with training experience. The right home, would have to be a person that is qualified and experienced with working and training foals. He has been ok with farrier, over great to handle.6/17
Prince Hemingway, 2001 Hanoverian gelding, approx. 16.2hh. "Hemi" would make a beautiful addition to any pasture, he has companioned mares and geldings and buddies well with most. Hemi also has potential as a project horse for the right person. About 3 years ago Hemi pulled his hind suspensories, and has rested the last few years. He would need to be reconditioned and slowly put back into a work routine. We would never want Hemi to be jumped or pushed beyond a w/t. Hemi has a fantastic personality and is fun to be around. Hemi is loyal to his person. Buddies well with mares or geldings. **Hemi was recently returned from an adoption in a horribly filthy state. We had to send him off site to be properly cleaned, he is currently feeling better. Newer Pictures and videos to come soon. Click here for a video of Hemi3/17, 2/18
2007 Standard bred Gelding, approx. 16.2hh. R.J. has come a long way, and is ready for his forever family. RJ drives, takes a rider, and likes to work. RJ doesn't seem to have much time with a rider, however he is willing to work, demonstrates focus on his rider and eager to please. There are not many things that seem to bother RJ. Confident loving boy, that would make a great trail horse/backyard horse to love, drive and ride. Quiet, kind, and just a true love, RJ completed 4 shows over the past two months, placing second in Adult Trail at the 4Town Fair on September 17, 2017. More videos to come. Great job RJ <3 Click here for a video of RJ being lunged< >And here for a video of RJ being rode< >And here for a video of RJ being rode< Click here for a video of RJ at the Westfield Games Show< 8/15
2013 Rocky Mountain Mare, 14.1hh...We saved Roxy from a kill buyers auction back in January 2017... she was rather slender but not the worst I've seen... winter is tough to put weight back on a horse,,, but Roxy got bigger...bigger and even bigger.... Mid March we kinda figured things out and on May 5, 2017, it was confirmed and later Ms. Roxy gave birth to Kookie on June 19, 2017. Roxy did great as she worked through the months of raising her little guy. Roxy is currently in work and looking for her forever home. She is a sweet girl, green broke, and is nice to have around.
